Minnesota is known for having a wide variety of weather in each of the four seasons (spring, summer, fall, and winter). Between summer and winter there is a large change of weather. During the months of April—May temperatures range from 37-68 degrees F. July through September are the hottest time of the year with temperatures exceeding 90 degrees. There will be days that it is cool and rainy and days that are hot and humid—it’s best to plan for all kind of weather.

Being so close to the Minnesota River often brings seasonal flooding and all sorts of animals! Wild turkeys and Canadian geese are often found roaming the property. Deer and small rodents might be seen if you go walking at a nearby nature path and stay quiet. If you look to the sky you might be able to spot one of the local bald eagles!
